Proper Edits?

Hi Brad.

I was wondering, would it be an improper thing to do to re-word some of the student's writing? Could you outline what I can and cannot do. Possibly outline my duties? I could really use your advice. I could live without another misunderstanding. Thanks.

Any edits should take the form of suggested changes, with the writer having a say (although, traditionally, not the *final* say). If done sensitively and in the spirit of making the writing better, clearer and more effective I can't see how it would be misunderstood.

Remember that there are three co-editors, so communications among and between you would be useful, too. I'd like it to be in the open (as comments to a post, for example) so all can follow the decision making processes. It's a first, this "blogging" style of newspaper creation, so let's learn as we go.

Hi Catherine.

Thanks so much for the comment. I really hope you don't give up. You're a good writer. I also really hope you call me soon. I'll be home all morning tomorrow so gimme a call. Thanks again for the comment. I'm a little afraid to say what I think now.
