To Me, Spring is . . .

This time write two versions using metaphor: one positive and one negative.

To me spring is the light touch of a lover's voice, whispering on a warm, rainy moonlit night.

To me spring marks the beginning of the inevitable decay, the green only masking death, the winter barely kept at bay.

To me, spring is… (Positive):

To me, spring is like spraying a nice fragrance all over the earth because the flowers smell beautifully, and trees are blooming. Because of that, it seems like spring is here already.

To me, spring is… (Negative):

To me, spring is nothing but a headache because in spring my allergy seems to get worse and worse. And because of that, I couldn’t get to sleep and to keep me busy, I have to blow my nose every single minute, or so. I hate springtime.

To me, spring means life, all the flowers blossom, trees have new green, the grass sprouts, and baby squirrels are running everywhere in the central park.

Spring means the life of bugs and virus, each year, it adds a new name to it, it could be SARs, Birds Flu, this year, and a new virus is born: the Swin flu.

To me spring is a water colour painting: the gorgeous pink , red blossoms and the tender green willows and grasses.

To me the spring is a soft melody: idyllic and easy going like waking on the valet.

To me the spring is the yoke harnessed on the bull’s shoulder: endless hard working from now on til the snow falling.

To me spring is the start of another life cycling: the sunlight is splendor enough, but it should be aware of that spring won’t last forever.

To me spring is a new life, a newly born, in the arms of his mother.

To me spring is start of a never-ending struggle to change the mistakes commited in the previous seasons. A reminder from the winter.

To me, Spring is as enjoyable as fine wine, it only gets better as time goes on.

To me, Spring is the calm before the storm of the ungodly heat of summer.

To me spring is a colorful bouquet. Green grass, tree loaded with new green leaves, buds and flowers.
To me spring is very a flashy, warm, and scratchy shawl. Hot and shiny days pinch my eyes. Because of my allergies, I have to struggle with itchy skin

To me spring is the beginning of a new existence, like an attractive newborn baby full of life who blooms everyday.

To me spring is livelihood under the watering can, runny nose, watering eyes with less and less oxygen because of asthma.

To me, spring is like the wake up call to the dormient poly bears. It's time to stretch the lazy tip toes and yawn in the breezy wind; It’s time to say “hi” to the old friends after a long, gloomy winter; It’s time to roll up and down in the fresh peak green; It’s time to play with the busy bees and catch some butterflies; It’s time to get ready for a match making and grow some baby bears. . . .

To me, spring is like a song, which has the babble of streams, the chirp of birds and the laugher of children.

To me, spring is like the Pandora’s box, pretty but dangerous. It contains a lot of bad things inside. Once it is opened, all of those come out. Swine flu is one of them.

To me, spring is brightness. The earth is bright and the people wear light colors like yellow, making them look bright, young and colorful.

To me, spring is like flipping the earth upside down. Everything changes and people have to adjust to the new way of living in the upside down-earth, which includes runny nose, flu, and the awakening of some allergies.
