Hi Brad.

I found a pic I liked and tried to copy and paste it on the parents part. It's not happening. Could you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

You have to send either the copy to me or the URL for me to get it myself.

The Web site is not accessible to anyone for authoring besides me!

Hi, Brad.
What's wrong on the STAFF?
You are trying to remove me on the part of the team member?
Could you put my name on the list even I'will absent several weeks cause of my back pain?
I hope see you soon guys!

Hi Choi,

Rosaria had planned to call you regarding your recent absences. I'm happy to put you back on the "staff" list, of course!

Unfortunately, students dropping a class do not always inform the teacher, so I have no way of knowing what's happened to them.

Hello Brad,
I have two questions for you.

I just finished my first draft, an article about "Tokyo."

After I saw the template, I'm curious about what category my writing could fit.

Also, I'm wondering whether I can add some URLs to my article as further information.

Thank you very much.

Ritsuko,

Maybe it's Travel Journal or is it something else?

What do you suggest?

Adding URLS is fine. Just copy the whole URL into the article and I'll convert it into a text link.

Thanks Brad, for your quick response.

I thisk my article may be related to "Healing," but it can be "Travel Journal," so that's fine with me.

I just felt if we could creat a category like,"Healing and Health" or"Relaxsation and Body Health."

I remenber last class--Catherine is planning to write about how to do body fitness and Suzanne will write about Yoga (right?)

Anyway, it's just an idea.

See you.

Brad.

Sorry it's such short notice but I won't be in class today. I have an interview with telus. Again, sorry it's such short notice. See you all next week.

Aha! Ritsuko,
You seemed like interested in Yoga, yeah? I even forgot what Brad had mentioned about it. First, I have to say something to put Yoga in the clear. Some people misunderstand Yoga because they don't really involve in this field. Since I have practiced Yoga for 32 cyears and it has become my career for 25 years. Then I will follow Brad's instruction on p.49 of the News Writer's Handbook. Here is my writing below:

The Amazing Effect of Yoga

Yoga exercise gives people energy, confidence, and health and that amazing effect makes them look younger than their age. It requires the coordination of three components: physical, mental, and spiritual. Another component is constant practice. Later, the amazing result would gradually appear.

Yoga was a religion in ancient India 6,000 years ago. Its original meaning is to maintain the body through physical and spiritual. The ancient yoga participants imitated some animal’s movement for relaxation. For example, cats curve their spines upward, dogs stretch their heads downward, and camels bends their heads backward. People felt comfortable and had more energy in their bodies after they imitated the stretches. Then they realized that those animals had an instinct to cure their illness. Also they dealt with their fatigue by doing various stretches. So they added physical stretches in their religious practice.

When people stretch their muscle, it actually brings more oxygen into their bodies. The more they stretch, the more it stimulates their muscle deeply. By this way, the chi (Chinese description) will go into their bone marrow and nourish their bone through their spongy bone. Moreover, if they mentally focus on a spot of their bodies that spot get stimulated. The nerve on that spot will be more energetic, then their illness or fatigue can be cured easily. It reflects the power of strong intention that could fulfill their potential. So, stretch combines mental focusing will make people full of energy.

To purify the spiritual is also a very important concern. No matter what kind of practice or discipline, a purified mind gives people free from edgy or worrisome issue. Then their mind can concentrate on whatever they practice. Think about many examples of successful experts or inventors, such as Mother Teresa, Helen Keller, and Einstein. How could they reach their goal without a calm and peaceful mind? Since people calm down their mind, the wonderful amazing wisdom will arise simultaneously. They will be satisfied with the efficient result afterward. The purified spiritual enable people reach good health as well.

However, since Yoga has developed into a popular exercise around the world, people pick up its advantage for the health reason. I believe many Yoga participants like me do not involved in that religion and just do physical discipline instead. For example, my Yoga stretches are mixed with many postures that come from ancient China. It includes acupressure that can prevent participants from getting hurt while doing stretches. After 25 years teaching Yoga, many of my students including myself have got benefit. We have become enthusiastic in doing Yoga. Besides, people from different ethnic groups will mix Yoga with their own culture to develop into a multiple postures; therefore, Yoga becomes a popular exercise in the world

Coordinating physical, mental, and spiritual, Yoga would give people energy and confidence that enhance health and make them look younger than their age, but they have to persist in practicing.
