Online Notebook: October 8 to 15
As always, any observations you make are welcome here. Treat it as a chance to write your thoughts and perhaps to give us something to discuss in class the following week.
I'm anxious for the rain to come. Can you believe that? I've lived here since 1963 and a vivid memory of my first winter here was of rain, sheets of rain, rivers of rain. Rain, rain and more rain.
I miss those days! Vancouver's much drier than in my childhood, that's for sure.
People on the skytrain (or any public trans)should offer their seats on pregnant women, too. There are no privilege seats for the soon-to-be-mothers, but come on! Just imagine how heavy their bellies are. Show some manners!
-Online notebook, oct. 8-oct. 15: On my way from my regular check up, a man came into a bus and took a seat in front of me. And I don’t know, I suddenly realized if Lance Branchwater from character work is here, I thought definitely he could be the guy because the way he acts, the way he moves around his right hand to show off. Of course, if Lance were here, he wouldn’t take a bus . . .
Former adult teacher who loves island beaches. Happy homebody and family man; once devoted dog owner, now without Tashi, my Tibetan Terrier. I prefer the absurdity of the imagination to the absurdity of imagining nothing.
