I prefer rivers.
I prefer dogs.
I prefer the alders along the driveway.
I prefer Purdy to Atwood.
I prefer myself sitting closer
to myself learning nothing.
I prefer keeping a cup of water on hand, just in case.
I prefer the colour purple.
I prefer not to say
that calmness will solve any problem.
I prefer mornings.
I prefer to dream often.
I prefer talking to my elders about anything.
I prefer my old Pentax.
I prefer the absurdity of the imagination
to the absurdity of imagining nothing.

I must say the poems demonstrate the unique nature of each poet. I like many lines here very much and am a fan of "the time just before the alarm goes off" too, just like Stacey.

And, like Suzanne, I "prefer snow falling down to snow piling up."

I wish more of us, like Hiromi, would "prefer the time of silence to the time of useless yakkity-yak."

And, like May, I "prefer talking to my co-workers about weather," too!

And poetry, Helena, is also a "piece of flowerlike time that can be celebrated every day."

Looking forward to seeing you all again next week. BTW, the school district is having electrical upgrades, so that's why the photos aren't showing in our profiles at the moment.
