A Letter to my Cell phone

Talkin on my cell phone, texting my fingers to the bone chatting to friends hour by hour, I really feel the power! I just want to stay in touch, surely thats not asking much music, and pictures, ringintones I love! Cell phones are like me One can call me and one can talk with me; one can charge me with energy and keep me alive, for we could die too and lose our signal with the rest of the world. Ooooh. . . I love my cell phone when i'm not with it i feel lost without it. You are not like my ex (housephone) who tights me down you have no wires and you don't keep me at home. I wonder freely and not worrying about missing you cause you are always right by me. I hear the sounds of your ringing even when your not with me. Ohh how i love my cell phone!

Dear CD,

Thank you for helping me talk to her. You know exactly who I am talking about--yes, the saleslady at HMV. She’s beautiful, isn’t she? You’re lucky she has held you before; how many times? I’d been meaning to buy you, but remember the first time I asked her about you, last week, when, standing in front of me, holding you with her cute little hands, smiling, she told me how good you are, and that she also has a copy? Imagine, if I had bought you that day, I could have lost the opportunity to talk to her again about the sole Chet Baker record in the store, the only thing that connects the two of us.

I am sorry, I know you’re disappointed at me, at the way I talked to her, nervously touching my nose almost every three seconds, one foot facing towards the exit, ready to run away. (Is it the reason why you sing so sad?)

I hope I get another chance, though, and if I do, I promise you, even if I think I am a bit out of my league, and even without you at hand, I’ll talk to her, and I will--somehow, I hope--summon all the courage inside me--somewhere, to thicken my red face--and ask her name (Should I ask her out? Maybe not, eh?).

To be honest, your songs sort of make feel lonely. What number is “Look For The Silver Lining?” Would you mind if I skip tracks? No, I shouldn’t, of course. You are too good to miss anything--not a song, not a note. When you played “While My Lady Sleeps” I almost succumbed to my bed, and fell into a deep dreamless sleep, such a track, gentle and smooth, soothes my soul, filling the void, lighting the dark. So my dear friend, again I thank you, with all my heart for your help, for the music.

LotsOLove,
Marc

PS. Please play “Come Rain Or Come Shine” before I snore.

O Chocolate!

Lustrous, shiny and dark—chocolate—with a sheen like the paint on a fast black Mercedes, you are my soul mate, my lover in times of distress, my best friend in a tragedy. Melt in my mouth and stay, your warm slightly bittersweet taste on my tongue. I promise you won’t be wasted, O chocolate! And after you are gone, I will dream of you, of your smell, of your rich, creamy body. I love you O chocolate, I do.

I’m a part of you--my dear car, so is my car. When the engine is turned on, I have no hesitated to give you my whole body (I trust you just the same as how you believe me). Only our two, play a game almost everyday: I perform your head, and you perform my legs. We totally give our life to each other; we get pleasure from the way we tied up together; we have never doubt that we are the best partner in the world. If you can say, let me guess, you would tell me that you want to stay with me forever, wouldn’t you?

From Kay:

A Love Letter

Hi there my well loved mountain bike:

Its been a long winter and I missed you very much.
The days will be getting longer and the weather warmer, you and I will once again be hitting the road.
So much freedom to enjoy, sites to see, beach friends to visit.
The long winter has seen you stored in a cold shed at Birch Bay, Hang in there sweetheart, your beautiful new tires will be tested for air, I'll check you out for rust and dust, You will look as lovely and be as welcome as the day you were given to me by a very good friend who got tired of looking at me on my old blue British bike looking like the British detective Miss Marple.
I thought I would never get use to your hand brakes. When anyone request to borrow you, I instruct them thoroughly to not adjust your seat or gears, Yes, I do protect and look after you.
We have enjoyed many summers, found many a apple tree waiting to be picked, You have suffered lonely hours in a bike rack, while I enjoyed the pool, You also suffered many hours lying on your side while I sat on a log watching the tide come in .
I thank you for your patience, and all you have given me, You have been a very reliable friend .

LOVE KAY

You are so sleek, so black and refined, like ebony. In the light you gleam, glossy and rich, begging to be touched, handled. Do you even know how handsome you are? You are so bold in your display, so colourful and even whimsical, depending on your mood (or mode). Yet so beautifully compact and careful, easily manageable: never high-maintenance, clumsy or brutish. One of the most attractive things about you is your glowing eye, your wonderful, multi-coloured, trackball - all colours of the rainbow dazzle me every time I touch you. Yes, sophisticated and sweet, you are eager to please me, whatever way I need. Text, email, pictures, calendar, phone. My one and only. My Blackberry, my love.

I like to thank you for keeping me in touch with tomorrow. My shiny black laptop with silvery keyboard and tender glassy screen, you know how much I love you and how much time I spent with you. You are my faithful comrade, and you always make me happy. I really miss you when I leave you alone, but you are the first thing that I see at home when I come back. You keep my pictures and assignments in your amazing brain, and I can find them less than a minute. When I miss my family, you are the only way I can chat with them. Oh my laptop you are amazing.
