Story Point Form ... Shooting at Fort Hood
Young recruit unarmed sitting waiting for deployment process :
1) Shots, Screams, what the hell is going on
2)Hide,Run or hit the floor , is this real or are they just testing our metal .
3)Someone help!. not my time to die, not fair
4)Pray, I can't remember any prayer
5) O God! the guy next to me is bleeding ,hit in the arm . I can help him, my lanyard will serve
as an tourniquet.
6)The shooting subsides , moaning continues to be heard.
7)Help has arrived - Yes, my metal has been tested .
From Kay:
Shots, Screams!
Third time around, I know the procedure, I'll take a short catnap, semi doze off dreaming of
Thanksgiving at home in Colorado . Fresh snow flaked mountains. Roads glistening white and
hard packed. Store lights flashing with the first of Christmas colors .
What the ....Bright red blotch on the white snow ,NO NO! thats my rucksack stowed between my
feet, the red blotch is spurting lose of blood . My God my leg is numb.
Through blurred vision I locate the shooter, also make out that fiesty little female cop taking aim
and taking him down . My world begins to fade to black ...
